Study in UK: The University of Sheffield announces Postgraduate Scholarships for International Students for year 2023

The University of Sheffield has launched the International Postgraduate Scholarship 2023. The scholarships are available to all new international students who meet the eligibility criteria.

The prestigious University of Sheffield, UK has announced the Postgraduate Scholarships for International students. The students from selected regions who are joining the University in September 2023 for PG programmes can apply for the scholarship. Also, students willing to apply for the scholarship can visit the official website of the university.

Furthermore, for the courses in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities and Faculty of Social Sciences, the scholarship is worth £2,000 (INR 2,03,945). The scholarship is £2,500 (INR 2,55,050) for courses in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health, Faculty of Engineering, and Faculty of Science. 

The candidates don’t need to fill out an additional scholarship application if they meet the eligibility criteria for the award. Additionally, only full-time and part-time students can apply for the scholarships. 

Who can Apply for the Scholarship?

Students can check the eligibility criteria and can apply for the postgraduate scholarship. The eligibility criteria is as follows:

  • The candidate must have received an offer for the course studied in full at the University. Masters courses that are split between the University of Sheffield and partner universities are not eligible for the scholarship. 
  • Candidates must accept the offer for the course before 16:00(UK time) on 16th June to receive this award.
  • All the Crossways courses and Erasmus Mundus courses are not eligible for the scholarship.
  • Any student who has enrolled in a Master/Integrated PhD program is eligible for the scholarship in the Master’s element of the programme only.

Moreover, the university has set selection criteria for the postgraduate scholarship 2023 to make sure the award is granted to the strongest applicants. The criterion includes the applicant has a strong academic background and has clearly articulated future ambitions. These goals relate to the degree they applied for. Also, the candidate has provided a clear rationale for applying for the course at the University of Sheffield.
