The University of Portsmouth is offering several scholarships to international and EU students. The scholarships are available to students enrolling in the University for the September 2024 or January 2024 intake. To apply, students must meet the eligibility criteria. The scholarship benefits differ based on the course of study, the nationality of the students, and the academic achievements to date. The deadline for the scholarship varies depending on the scholarship type. The University of Portsmouth ranks 501-550 (QS Ranking 2024). Hence, it is an excellent University to study in the UK.

Chancellor’s Global Academic Merit Scholarship

The Chancellor’s Global Academic Merit Scholarship is available to undergraduate and postgraduate students for the September 2024 entry. Meritorious international students who are self-funding their education can apply. The scholarship benefit is a tuition fee discount of  £5,000 towards the 1st year of study.  However, for the scholarship consideration, students must accept their offer letter, and send an application. The deadline for the same is 16 August 2024.

Vice Chancellor’s Global Development Scholarship

The Vice Chancellor’s Global Development Scholarship is a scholarship available for both September 2024 and January 2025 entry. The scholarship is available to both undergraduate and postgraduate students and is given based on nationality. Indian students are eligible for this award. The benefit is a tuition fee discount of  £2,500. However, the award is given only to students enrolling in a course that has an annual fee of £16,200 or above. 

School of the Environment, Geography and Geosciences (SEGG) Scholarship

School of the Environment, Geography, and Geosciences (SEGG) Scholarship is available to international students self-funding their education. The scholarship is available to students enrolling in a Master’s program. However, to be eligible students must have achieved a 1st or upper second (2:1) in their Bachelor’s degree program. Students must also accept an offer letter to a Master’s program before 28 June 2023. The scholarship benefit is a 50% discount of tuition fees. Application dates are from 15 May 2023 – 15 June 2023.
