The cost of renting a unit as compared to a house has finally closed to $39 (Rs 3,224) a week. The demand for smaller homes in nearby cities is increasing every day as prices increase in Australia.
Looking at the data a year ago, there has been a huge price increase between leasing a property and a unit. Last week, price of one unit was $64 (Rs 5,293) for a week. However, this was slashed after several cheaper styles of accommodation emerged.
The overall rental price increase for one unit has risen up to over 1.6 per cent over the past month. This is in comparison with the rent for houses which rose to over 0.9 per cent since April.
