Study Abroad: UK Graduate Visa The Way to Live Permanently in the UK

Individuals who do not have a work offer from a UK employer can now permanently stay in the UK through a UK Graduate visa. They are first required to apply for the Graduate Route, look for work opportunities, and then seek to become permanent residents of the UK. A graduate visa does not require the candidates to have a job offer for application. The UK Graduate Visa will allow international students to stay in the UK after they graduate for two years while they are looking for work in the UK. This visa will allow the candidates to work flexibly, change jobs, and grow ahead in their careers.

Eligibility of Graduate Route Visa

Foreign students who have completed their degree at the undergraduate level or above or any professional qualification at the degree level or above from an institution with a valid tier 4 or student visa at the time of application are eligible for a Graduate Route Visa. The candidates are not required to show any proof of funds or scores on English language tests while applying. But they will require a Confirmation of Acceptance number to apply.

Graduate Route Fees

The application fee for this visa was earlier £700 for both two-year and three-year Graduate route visas. Along with this fee, the candidates will also have to pay an additional health surcharge fee. From 4th October 2023, the Graduate visa fees have increased to  £822.

Application Process for Graduate Visa

While applying the candidates must be in the United Kingdom as applying from the UK will result in the cancellation of the visa and entrance will be denied. Furthermore, the application charges will also not be returned. If the candidate’s visa expires after the application of a Graduate visa then they will be allowed to stay in the UK during the application process.
