The craze for Studying Abroad among Indian students is very common. The enrolment number keeps increasing but hardly decreasing. It is one of the best ways to explore new cultures and pursue education as well. The most common countries that the students consider for studying abroad are the UK, the US, Australia, New Zealand, etc. The most common changes in study visa requirements are the increase in employment opportunities post-study, the uncomplicated visa process, also the students being provided with varied academic programmes. United States of America

The United States of America introduced new rules in 2023. As per the new guidelines the applicants of F, M, and J Visa will have to use their correct passport information to create their profile and schedule visas. Failing to do so will result in the rejection of the study visa and also in the loss of the visa fee.

Canada

From 1st December 2023, Designated Learning Institutions are required to verify each candidate’s Letter of Acceptance. This will ensure genuine issuance of study permits based on the application letters. In addition to this, the minimum living costs will also increase starting from 1st Jan 2024. 

UK

Foreign students can no longer shift from a study visa to a work visa until they complete their studies.  Rishi Sunak the prime minister of the UK has announced various measures to reduce immigration and restrict students from bringing their families to the UK. As a part of the student visa application process the students are required to show that they have enough money to pay their course fees and support themselves in the UK. If the students are not using student loan then they should have this money in their bank account for 28 consecutive days.

Australia

Australia has experienced a steady increase in the number of enrollments. The most recent changes include higher scores on the IELTS test to get the visa. For example, the score for the temporary graduate visa will increase from 6 to 6.5 in IELTS, and in the case of a student visa, the requirement for an IELTS score has increased from 5.5 to 6.0. The students will also be required to show an amount of $24505 in their savings account to get a student visa.
