Indian students who have travelled to France for academic purposes over the past three years have steadily increased as per Indian Foreign Ministry.

Indian students studying in France will be granted a five-year post-study employment visa. A two-year work visa was previously granted to master’s degree holders in France.

Over 6,000 prospective study-abroad students picked France in 2022. The latest data from the Indian foreign ministry, there has been steady growth in Indian students going to France has increased over the last three years. 

PM Modi announced the same while addressing the Indian community at La Seine Musicale in Paris. He was in Paris for two days. Moreover, PM Modi will attend the Bastille Day ceremonies in Paris alongside President Macron. 

France is among the top five study destinations for international students after the US, UK, Germany and Australia. Furthermore, according to the data gathered after COVID-19, around 6000 students enrolled in the academic year 2021-2022. 

However, the percentage of students who enrolled in management studies was around 70%.
