MAT Exam Registration and Test Date for 2025
First, let’s learn about the exam registration dates and test dates. The MAT exam registration has already started on June 15. However, the application window is still open. You still have time to register for the examination. Once registration is done, you can book your test slot and sit for the test. The exam registration is done on the Pearson VUE website.

How to Register for MAT Oxford?
MAT exam registration for Oxford University commenced on 18th June 2025. To register now, you can follow the steps below. We have provided step-by-step instructions below:
Get Your UCAS ID Number
The first step is to have a UCAS ID number. The UCAS application registration started on June 13th 2025. You can register your UCAS application, but you do not have to submit the same! When you register for the UCAS, you need to provide the necessary details about yourself. Once this is done, you can see the UCAS ID number in the top right corner of the UCAS application.
Visit the Oxford Admissions Test Registration Portal
Visit the Oxford University official website, and go to the admissions test page. There you will find the link to the Oxford admissions test registration portal. Visit the registration portal and choose to register as a new applicant. You will be asked to provide your email address and password. You have to use the same email address you used for the UCAS application. Once you create a new account, you will receive a confirmation email.
Fill Out the Registration Form
At this stage, the MAT exam registration starts. You will be shown a guidance page from which you can continue to the registration page. You will be asked for 4 things:
- Your personal information (eg, your name),
- Your contact information (eg, phone number, address, city)
- UCAS information (eg, UCAS ID, course details)
- Access arrangement (eg, if you require accommodation, more time)
By the time you complete the UCAS information, you will be automatically registered for the MAT examination. The access arrangement page is only for those who can prove that they are in a situation where they require special arrangements. You can choose no if you do not require such an arrangement.
Submit the Registration Form
After completing the above steps, you can review your MAT exam registration form. Thereafter, submit the registration form and wait for on-screen confirmation. Once you have registered, if you have any queries, you can access the messaging service (left-bar) and contact Pearson VUE.
Book your Test Slot
Now that you are done with the MAT exam registration, you can book your test slot. On 18th August, log in to your account. Since the Mathematics Admissions Test is conducted on two days, you have the option to choose between these days. Choose the date you like, and register your test centre. You can change your test centre or reschedule your examination up until 26 September 6 pm BST.
After submission of your test slot booking form, an automatic confirmation will be sent to you. Check for a confirmation email from Pearson VUE in your inbox.

5 Tips To Register for the MAT Exam for Oxford
Here are a few tips that will be useful for you to register for the MAT exam for Oxford. Keep these things in mind while you register for your examination.
- Register early: As we have mentioned before, the test slots are granted on a first-come and first first-served basis. Therefore, register early and book your test slots early. Late applicants will find it difficult to select a test centre of their choice.

- Use the same email address- Using a separate email address for the Oxford test and UCAS application means that tracking is not possible, and your application will be withdrawn.

How to Choose Test Centres for the MAT Examination for Oxford?
The MAT examination is conducted worldwide on the test dates. This means that as an Indian applicant, you can also take the test. Pearson VUE handles the MAT examination registration and administration. Therefore, the examination can be taken at any Pearson VUE test centre. A total of 20 test centres are available in India. You will find test centres in states like Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, and Delhi. To choose a test centre for the MAT examination, follow these steps:
- Know the time: You can only choose an examination test centre while you are booking your test date. The test centre booking will start from 18th August.
- How to book: Go to the ‘Find a test centre function. This will automatically suggest to you the test centre locations. The interactive map will pinpoint the location of any secluded centre. You can also type in your location to view the relevant test centres.
- Taking the test away from home: You can also choose to take the test from home. In this case, you can override this selection and enter another location to search.
