Candidates who have completed their education in Italy and holders of research permits who have completed their research activity in Italy are eligible to apply for an Italy Post-Study work visa. In addition to this, they must possess one of the following degrees:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Italian
• PhD
• First or second-level academic diploma
• First or second-level postgraduate training
• Higher technician diploma

Candidates can apply for a work permit at the end of their studies when their current study visa expires. Similarly, students who are about to finish their research project can apply for the Italy post-study work visa. Candidates can start their application at the Immigration Office of the Police Headquarters. The application must include Mod 29, Forms 1 and 2 along with other supplementary documents:

• Proof of Accommodation 
• Proof of funds not less than the annual Italian social allowance of €6,542.51

• Photocopy of Italian Tax Identification Number 
• A revenue stamp of €16
