The India Global Leaders Scholarship is an initiative launched by the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia to ease the accessibility of higher education. Under this scholarship scheme, Indian students having high calibre will be given financial assistance to pursue courses in the fields of Business, Economics, and Law at the University of Queensland. India Global Leaders Scholarship will cover 50% of selected candidates’ tuition fees, which will only include undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Business, Economics, and Law. This scholarship will exclude the following programs – Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Business Analytics and Master of Leadership in Service Innovation.

💻How to Apply For the India Global Leaders Scholarship?

Students who wish to successfully apply for the India Global Leaders Scholarship, follow all the below-mentioned steps.

• Go to the University of Queensland’s official website.
• On the home page, click on the ‘Study’ section, and below it, check for the ‘Scholarships’ section and click on it.
• Click on ‘Apply Now’ and a new tab will open displaying the application form.
• Enter all the required details like your name, educational qualification, contact details, etc.
• Upload your documents in the required format.
• Before submitting your application form, recheck all the details that you have entered and then submit your application form.
• Once you have submitted your application form, you will receive an email or message on your email address or contact number.

• Candidate’s Resume or CV
• Academic transcripts and certificates
• A motivational/personal statement written by the candidate, which should be within the word limit of 1000 words.

📌India Global Leaders Scholarship: Eligibility Criteria

To successfully apply for this scholarship, candidates must possess all the required eligibility criteria. All the required eligibility criteria for the India Global Leaders Scholarship are mentioned below:

• The candidate must be an Indian citizen, living currently in India and not studying in Australia.
• The candidate must have received an offer letter from subjects including Economics, Business, and Law Departments.
• Scholarships will be awarded depending on the candidate’s academic performance/achievements.
• If any candidate has enrolled on an English language program at any university in Australia, can also apply for this scholarship.
• Candidates must not hold other tuition scholarships at a given time.

👩‍🎓Selection Procedure

Under the India Global Leaders Scholarship scheme, candidates will be shortlisted depending on the number of scholarships available and the total number of candidates applying. Selected candidates will go through a number of interview rounds, which will be conducted by the committee members of the University of Queensland, Brisbane. While reviewing candidates’ applications, the selection committee will consider the following factors:

• Candidates’ academic performance
• Candidates’ achievements (extra-curricular and sports)
• Career goals
• Candidate’s academic performance compared with other candidates’ performance

💸India Global Leaders Scholarship: Objective and Benefits

The objectives and benefits of the India Global Leaders Scholarship are as follows.

• The candidate’s 50% tuition fees will be covered under this scholarship.
• The amount which is given under this scholarship will vary ranging from AUD 5,000 – 20,000 (INR 2.9 lakhs to 11.5 lakhs).
• Through this scholarship scheme, students will be able to access good career opportunities and enhance their leadership skills.
• While pursuing their courses through this scholarship, special invitations will be sent to selected candidates for ECAs, group presentations, and lectures. This is only applicable to students who have proof of knowledge and skills in relevant fields.
• After completing your graduation, you will be allowed to join a network of Global Leaders Scholarship, through which you can enhance your professional network worldwide.

📌Terms and Conditions

Here are all the important terms and conditions of the said scholarship that the candidates must be aware of.

• Students currently enrolled at the University of Queensland are not eligible for this scholarship program.
• The Executive Dean of the University of Queensland will allow requests only for a maximum period of 12 months.
• Students pursuing an English language program/course at any university in Australia are eligible for this scholarship program.
• Students should not be benefiting from any other scholarships for tuition fees at the same time.
• All the information regarding this scholarship scheme, including acceptance and outcomes, will be sent via email to students.
• The scholarship offer letter will determine the amount and duration of the scholarship. Any change or variation in the course, which affects the duration or scholarship amount, must be approved by the Executive Dean, with a written letter.

The following services will be provided under this scholarship scheme – 

• Application fee for the University of Queensland. 
• Services amenities fee
• No Scholarship for undertaking courses (if any).
• Textbooks and stationery cost
• Living and accommodation cost
• Return airfare
• Students’ health insurance
