Describe a time when you told your friend an important truth.

Q- Describe a time when you told your friend an important truth.

Ans: There was an instance when my friend was gearing up for a crucial job interview. He was brimming with confidence and had amazing skills. But his curriculum vitae (CV) was not quite up to par. Though it was a challenging truth to communicate, especially considering the substantial time and effort he had invested in crafting it, I recognized the significance this held for his professional trajectory and decided to approach this delicately, ensuring I didn’t hurt his sentiments. We sat down for a discussion where I meticulously pointed out the areas in his CV that required enhancement. I suggested that he focus on quantifying his achievements and tailoring his skills to match the job description. Additionally, I recommended that he incorporate powerful action verbs and industry-specific keywords to make his CV more compelling.

Initially, he was taken aback and slightly disheartened. But, as he processed my feedback, he took my advice. He meticulously highlighted his achievements, tailored his skills to the job description, and incorporated potential action verbs. He also included more industry-specific keywords to make his CV impactful and relevant. He expressed gratitude for my candidness.I was also happy to see that my truthfulness helped him in drafting his professional document well. This incident underscored the value of honesty in friendship and the courage it sometimes requires to guide your friends through it all.
