• You must not work in Australia 
• You will undertake studies only for less than 3 months 
• You have adequate health insurance for the duration of your stay
• Moreover, as a non-resident, you cannot stay for longer than 12 months in any 18 months 
• Leave Australia before your visa expires

• Proof that you have sufficient funds to cover your travel expenses 
• Also, you need to prove that you have reasons to return home. For example, provide a letter from the employer that confirms your return back to your job, proof that you studied in a college/school in the home country, and proof that you own a house or other assets in the home country.
• You also need to provide military service record/discharge papers (if applicable)
• If you want to stay for a longer period you must provide additional documents. For example, proving that your child is an Australian permanent resident or citizen 
• Applicants under the age of 18 need to provide additional documents as well. For example, they need to fill out Form 1229 – Consent form (to be filled by your parent or guardian), a statutory declaration that they are giving consent for your visa. Moreover, you must submit a passport or diver’s license of the person who has completed the declaration 
• If you are under 18, you also need to provide a copy of your birth certificate that showcases the name of your parents. You must also fill in a consent form (Form 1257) if you are going to stay with someone other than a relative or legal guardian. This must be filled by the person you are going to stay with.
• You must also translate any documents that are not in English to English
• Provide additional documents, if requested.

• Attach the necessary documents

• At this stage, the visa application would be processed 
• You will be informed of your application result in writing 
• If the visa application has been rejected, the reasons for the same would be provided.
