Dear Suhani,

I hope this letter finds you in good health and spirits. It’s been a long since we caught up. I am writing to share about the wonderful Republic Day celebration at my school that took place recently. I participated in one of the dance performances and won the first prize.

As we got ready for the big event, the entire campus was ablaze with excitement. There was a sense of unity and patriotism as the morning of January 26th approached. There were tricolour decorations all over the school grounds, and there was an overwhelming sense of patriotism and national anthems in the air.

The national flag was unfurled by our school principal to begin the day’s events, and as the national song reverberated across the area, everyone stood in sombre respect. Our hearts were filled with pride as we saw the tricolour fluttering against the pristine blue sky.

Several cultural events highlighted the rich diversity and history of our nation after the flag was raised. Students from several schools took part in plays, dance routines, and choir presentations that emphasised the ideals that genuinely set our country apart and emphasised the notion of unity in diversity.

A speech competition where kids discussed the meaning of Republic Day and what it means to be a responsible citizen was one of the highlights. Seeing my students’ ardour and eloquence while they expressed their viewpoints was encouraging.

Following the event, we laughed and shared stories during lunch. It was a day filled with joy, camaraderie, and a deep sense of pride for our nation.

I wish we could have celebrated Republic Day along with you here. You would have loved the lively vibe and the overall sense of togetherness that pervaded the day, I’m sure.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon and catching up on all the latest happenings in your life.

Yours Loving,
Akansha
