3 Minutes Speech on Motherhood and Education
A very warm welcome to all the judges, parents, and fellow participants. Today I am standing before you to present my point of view on the Speech on Motherhood and Education. The early years of a child are the most important time of their life. This is the time when a child starts interacting with faces and human emotions. Mothers through lullabies, bedtime stories, and playful interactions, lay the foundation of response. A study conducted by Child Health and Human Development showed that children who learn from positive interactions with their mothers perform better in academics in their later years. Beyond academic achievements, mothers also help their children to build emotional intelligence. The empathetic nature, which includes self-awareness, empathy, and social skills makes the children emotionally strong and helps in steering the complexities of the school environment. In another study conducted by the Harvard Family Research Project, it was found that the involvement of parents influences a child´s performance. As mothers are the primary carers in most households, they play an important role in bringing up overall performance. Helping in solving puzzles, doing homework, attending parent-teacher meetings, or making the child learn as per their curiosity, the contribution of mothers is immensely related to the overall educational experience. Children share their important time of life with their mothers. They obese her hard work, ambition and perseverance. This creates a strong impact on their personality and inspires her as a role model which further helps the child in pursuit of education, and career goals. Mothers are legends of our lives. Her impact on the lives of a child is incredible which is beyond home and echoes in the success of classrooms, boardrooms, and corridors of education as well as of emotions.’ |
