I welcome you all on this special day. A very Happy Republic Day to all my fellow Indians! Today, we celebrate India’s 76th Republic Day, the day when our Constitution came into force on 26th January 1950. This day reminds us of the values of justice, equality, and freedom that our Constitution stands for.
After India gained independence, we needed a set of rules to run the country. Our great leaders, led by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, worked hard for almost three years to create the Constitution.
