VIT Vellore Scholarship: Overview
The Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, offers the VIT scholarship. The award primarily intends to assist deserving but financially disadvantaged students in completing their education.
In fact, students who have achieved a high rank in their engineering entrance test can apply for a VIT Vellore scholarship under the GV School Development Programme (GVSDP). State and Central champions will have their tuition waived for the entire four years.
Furthermore, two outstanding students from government schools in rural areas will receive a tuition cost remission in addition to an exemption from dormitory and mess fees. Therefore, students with VIT Ranks 1 through 1000 will have a portion of their tuition charge waived.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have passed their class 12 exams with an overall grade point average of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, Math, or Biology.
- While, SC/ST students from Jammu and Kashmir, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura must have obtained only 50% in the PCMB.
- They should also be pursuing their BTech or MBA from VIT Vellore and should’ve given GMAT/ MAT/ NMAT.
Types of VIT Vellore Scholarship
Although VIT Vellore scholarships are on the basis of need and means, the majority of scholarship programs available at the institute level are merit.
- GV School Development Programme (GVSDP) – State/Central board toppers and VITEEE rank holders receive tuition fee discounts of up to four years.
- STARS (Support the Advancement of Rural Students) Scholarship – The top ten students from rural government schools who are studying and have a family income of INR 1.5 LPA will receive a fee remission for academic and dormitory amenities, as well as basic medical expenses.

- After that, fill in all of the needed information.
- Next, candidates can receive the login information on their mobile phone number and email address.
- Then, log in with your registered email address and password.

- You should also upload the required documents.
- Last but not least, do the online payment of the application fee
Documents Required
- Upload an online photograph of the candidate that is 3.5 cm X 4.5 cm in size. You should also note that the file size should be between 10KB and 200 KB.
- During registration, candidates must also upload their signatures, while the image should be between 10KB and 200KB in size. 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm in size.
