Founder’s Scholarship

Launched in 2010, the Founder’s Scholarship focuses on attracting and encouraging these 2 categories of students:

1. Students securing top ranks in their qualifying exams/JEE to enrol in a BTech program.
2. Students who excel in sports seeking to enroll in UG/PG/Diploma courses at SRM IST.

Who can apply?: Students wanting to apply for this SRM Scholarship must:

1. Have passed their HSC/Degree in regular mode on the first attempt.
2. Secured admission through either of these circumstances-

Term	Meaning
Early Bird	Students who passed out in the year prior and have not been admitted to any institute due to any reason, given that they secured a specific percentage in their +2 exams.
Extremely Meritorious Students	Students who have secured rank in the Top 100 in SRMJEEE (UG) (spread across all phases)or Top 20,000 ranks in IIT JEE (Mains) or State first rank in HSC of respective state boards or CBSE within India or District topper in HSC in Tamil Nadu State Board or CBSE within Tamil Nadu.
Exemplary sports persons	Students who represent university/district (province)/zone/state/national/international

Award: 100% of the first-year tuition fee covered.

SRM Merit Scholarship

This SRM Scholarship was also started in 2010 to attract meritorious students to seek admission to BTech programs at SRM IST.

Who can apply?: Students having a rank between 101 and 500 in SRMJEE, as fixed for all SRM campuses.

Award: 50% of the first-year tuition fee covered.

Chancellor Constituency Scholarship

The Chancellors’ Constituency Scholarship was instituted in 2019 to attract students with a strong academic record to enroll in their first year at SRM IST.

Who can apply?: To apply for this SRM scholarship, students must have cleared their qualifying exam (HSC/Degree) with good marks in regular mode in the first attempt.

Award: 50% of the first-year tuition fee covered.

Socio-Economic Scholarship

Started in 2012, the Socio-Economic scholarship focuses on attracting meritorious students with weak financial backgrounds.

Who can apply?: 

• Students who have cleared their qualifying exams (HSC/Degree) in the first attempt with good marks.
• Students who belong to tribal communities/low-income families as recognized by SRM IST.

Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Scholarship

This SRM Scholarship was instated in 2020 with the aim of providing free education to needy students up to the UG level. Unnat Bharat Abhiyan scholarship also focuses on improving the education quality for rural students and encouraging them to enroll in SRM IST.

Who can apply?:  Students who have- 

• Cleared their Class 12 with good marks.
• Studied in Government schools of adopted 8 villages recognized by SRM.

Award: 100% tuition fee waiver for students from adopted villages.
