Sewa International Scholarship: Objective
The main objective of the Sewa scholarship scheme is to provide financial assistance to meritorious students who belong to economically weaker sections of minority communities. Important Details
- The scholarship will not be offered to more than 2 students of the same family
- In case of any violation of the council discipline or any other terms and conditions specified for the scholarship, the scholarship program of that student will be cancelled
- If false statements were used to obtain the scholarship, it would be cancelled and the expenses would be recovered from the student.
- The scholarship can be renewed during the next academic year of the candidate provided that the student has scored 50% in the previous year’s final examination
- The duration of the scholarship is for the academic year and shall be provided for the tuition fees only for the whole course
- Evaluation of the financial and physical performance of the scheme will be completed after assigning evaluations to the reputed institutions and agencies of the Council
Sewa International Scholarship: Eligibility Criteria
Given below are the eligibility criteria for the scholarship:
- The candidate must have scored a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent in their previous final examination.
- The annual income of the parents/guardians of the students does not exceed Rs. 2.00 Lakh.

Sewa International Scholarship: Application Process
Below are the steps to apply for this scholarship:
- Before applying the candidate must check the eligibility criteria
- To register for the scholarship, the candidates should visit the official website
- The candidate must complete the registration process by providing the required information to obtain the login credentials
- The candidate will be sent a link to verify their profile
- Next, use the login credential to log in to the application portal
- Click on the “apply for starting the application”
- Fill out all the required information accurately and click on the “save” button to save all the details
- Finally, submit the application form, all applications are email-approved and provided with an online receipt.
Documents Required
- A self-attested copy of the community certificate for students of the age of 18 years. Else a parent/guardian certified community certificate.
- Income certificate issued from the Competent Authority in the State/UT Governments
- Students must submit their Aadhaar card number while applying for the scholarship.
Scholarship Amount and Benefits
There are two main scholarship programs offered by Sewa International: the Sewa Fellowship and the Sponsor a Child program. The Sewa Fellowship is a one-year program that provides fellows with the opportunity to work on grassroots projects in India. Fellows receive a monthly stipend of INR 20,000, as well as a grant of INR 1.75 lakhs upon successful completion of the fellowship. They also receive accommodation and food, as well as training and mentorship.
The Sponsor a Child program provides financial assistance to underprivileged children in India. Sponsors can choose to sponsor a child for a year or the duration of their education. The sponsorship covers the cost of tuition, books, uniforms, and other school supplies.

Selection Procedure
Take a look at the selection procedure for the candidates:
- The number of scholarships available for minorities is fixed every year and is limited as well. Thus, there are a few preferences for the selection process.
- For inter-selection weightage, the preference will be given to poverty rather than marks. In this case, the candidate is required to submit an income certificate
- In case of the same income, the merit criteria will be used including the Date of Birth
- For renewal cases, there is no merit list generation. Renewal is possible if one has scored 50% in the previous final examination
