Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited, commonly known as HDFC, is a prominent mortgage lender and financial institution. In line with its commitment to education, HDFC has introduced the HDFC Badhte Kadam Scholarship. This initiative aims to offer financial aid to high-achieving students from underprivileged backgrounds, enabling them to pursue and successfully complete their education despite financial constraints.

Furthermore, the scholarship extends beyond monetary assistance, providing additional support to students in the form of mentorship and access to career counseling programs. The scheme encompasses various aspects of educational expenses, covering tuition fees, reimbursement, hostel fees, learning devices, books, stationery, and more.

Eligibility Criteria for HDFC Badhte Kadam Scholarship

For Students in Classes 9 to 12

The student must be an Indian and enrolled in classes 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th. Preference will be given to those students who have experienced the loss of a parent or earning family member during the COVID-19 pandemic. Applicants should not be children of buddy4study or HDFC Ltd employees, and the annual family income should not exceed 6 lakh rupees.

For General Undergraduate Courses

The student must be an Indian and pursuing undergraduate degree courses such as B.Com., B.Sc., B.A., BCA, etc. Priority will be given to students who have faced the loss of a parent or earning family member due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Applicants should not be children of buddy4study or HDFC Ltd employees, and the annual family income should not exceed 6 lakh rupees.

For Professional Undergraduate Courses

Students must be Indian and enrolled in professional undergraduate degree courses like B.Tech., MBBS, LLB, B.Arch., Nursing, etc. Preference will be given to students who have experienced the loss of a parent or earning family member during the COVID-19 pandemic. Applicants should not be children of buddy4study or HDFC Ltd employees, and the annual family income should not exceed 6 lakh rupees.

The steps on how to apply for the scholarship are mentioned below:

Step 1: Visit the official website of buddy4study at www.buddy4study.com/page/badhte-kadam-scholarship.

Step 2: Navigate to the “scholarship” option in the menu bar.

Step 3: Choose the “all scholarships” option from the expanded list.

Step 4: Locate the HDFC Ltd’s Badhte Kadam Scholarship.

Step 5: Click on the provided link to open a new page, and then select the “apply now” option to access the login page.

Step 6: On the login page, four options will be displayed: Facebook, Google, Mobile Number, and Email id. Choose one and enter the respective login details.

Step 7: If you are not registered, click on the “Register” option. You can register using your Facebook/Google account or manually fill in the registration details.

Step 8: This will lead you to the application form page. Click the “Start Application” button and provide the required details, including your name, contact number, date of birth, email id, guardian name, course details, etc.
