The application window for the Tamil Nadu NEET UG 2023 counselling is going to close tomorrow, which is July 12. Candidates who haven’t registered for the counselling yet can do so on the official website, tnmedicalselection.net. Applicants are able to register for round 1, mop-up round, and stray round. It should be noted that fresh registrations are not allowed for round 2.

Previously, the Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) Tamil Nadu had announced an extension to the deadline for the Tamil Nadu NEET UG 2023 counselling registration. Initially, the deadline for applications was set for July 10. However, due to numerous requests from candidates seeking an extension in the application process for MBBS and BDS programs for the academic session of 2023-2024, the DMER decided to prolong the deadline.

Steps Required for Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling Registration 2023

Follow the steps given below to successfully register for the Tamil Nadu NEET UG 2023 Counselling:

Step 1: Go to the official website of Tamil Nadu NEET, which is tnmedicalselection.net. 

Step 2: Click on the link which reads “NEET UG Counselling 2023 Registration” visible on the homepage.

Step 3: Now, proceed to register on the portal by providing the required information. 

Step 4: Then, submit the mandatory documents and pay the registration fees. 

Step 5: Ensure that you go through all the filled details properly and then submit the registration form. 

Step 6: Download the form and take out it’s hard copy for future reference.

Application Fee

The registration fee for candidates in the general category is INR 500. On the other hand, applicants falling under the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Caste Arunthathiyar, and Scheduled Tribe categories are exempted from paying the application fee.

A security deposit of Rs 30,000 is mandatory for government quota seats, while a security deposit of Rs 1,00,000 is required for management quota seats. If a candidate, who has been allocated a seat in the second or subsequent rounds, fails to join the respective institution, the security deposit will be forfeited.
