NLSAT 2023 Latest Updates
The NLSUI released the exam notification for the National Law School Admission Test on the 16th of January 2023. On the same day, admission forms for the exam were released on the official website of NLSUI. The NLSAT Exam will be conducted on the 29th of April 2023 for NLSAT-MPP and on the 30th of January for NLSAT-LLB, and NLSAT-PhD programmes.
The application process is open till the 06th of April 2023 and the last date for payment of the application fee is also the same. The candidates have to submit their application on time but it is advisable to do it as soon as possible so that the rest of the time is preserved for preparation for the exam.

NLSAT 2023 Exam Pattern
The NLSUI released the latest exam pattern for the NLSAT 2023 Exam on the 16th of January 2023. The exam pattern has several details that help the candidates to prepare for the exam in an organised way. The NLSAT 2023 Exam Pattern is as follows:
- The exam is conducted offline in the exam centre/s.
- The duration of the exam is 150 minutes in all.
- The exam is conducted in the English Language only and has both objective and subjective type questions.
- The exam is divided into 2 parts; Part A is the objective type and Part B is the subjective section of two.
- The candidates are evaluated for the combined results of both parts.
- However, if the candidate scores appropriately in the objective section only then their scores for the subjective section are evaluated.

The section contains questions based on general problem-solving without the requirement of Law based knowledge. The candidates should ideally complete Part A in time and preserve more time for these questions that need more strategising. The key to cracking this exam lies in time management after one has prepared well for the exam.
For the essay writing question the candidates have to choose between 3 topics to write on. The answer has to be given under 500 words. This section evaluates the ability to present well-structured arguments, the depth of knowledge on an issue and the capability to write relevant information within the given word limit.
