Yes, KMAT Kerala is a necessary entrance test to get admission to any of the MBA Colleges in Kerala. Even if the candidates have written an entrance exam like CAT or MAT, it is necessary to give KMAT for admission to any college in Kerala. 

KMAT Kerala is the Kerala management (MBA) admission test conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Government of Kerala. The exam is conducted to take admission of students in various MBA programs offered by the participating colleges in Kerala.  

The KMAT Kerala exam is conducted online at various exam centres across Kerala. The duration of the exam is 3 hours (180 minutes) during which the candidates have to answer 180 MCQs for a total of 720 marks. The exam is conducted in English medium only. 

The KMAT Kerala Exam was conducted in the month of February. The exam date was the 19th of February 2023. A lot of students appeared for the KMAT exam this year and the final results of the same were released on the 13th of March 2023. 

The last date to apply for the KMAT Kerala in 2023 was the 20th of January 2023. The registrations began on the 09th of January 2023 and the candidates had to apply within this short window. The application fee was also to be paid within the given deadline. 

The KMAT Kerala Admit Card was made available on the official website from the 03rd of February 2023 onwards. The candidates were supposed to download the admit card online from the official website of the Commissioner of Entrance Examination.  

To be eligible for the KMAT exam 2023, candidates must have successfully completed 3-years of graduation from a recognised university. They must also have secured 50% marks in the final year of the exam. The candidates still appearing for their qualifying exam can also apply for the exam. The student must be in a domicile of Kerala. 

The qualifying marks for the KMAT Kerala exam are 50% in the qualifying exam. That means the student has to score 50% marks in their final year’s cumulative score. Candidates from scheduled castes and scheduled tribes have a relaxation of 5% and must secure 45% marks in the qualifying exam to be eligible for the exam.   

There is no age bar for the KMAT Kerala exam. However, the applicants must have completed their graduation before applying for the course. 

To apply for the KMAT Kerala exam, the students must first register themselves on the official website of the Commissioner of Entrance Examination. In the next step, students have to log in and complete the application form. Then, the portal asks for application fee payment, which has to be paid online. Applicants can then upload the necessary documents and complete the application process. 

The KMAT Kerala registrations were open from the 09th of January 2023 till the 20th of January 2023. The exam is conducted twice a year so candidates who are willing to apply now can wait for the next intake and keep track of dates for the same.

The KMAT Kerala application fee can only be paid online with credit cards, debit cards, internet banking and UPI. The application fee is INR 1000 for general candidates and INR 750 for SC or ST candidates.  

The KMAT Kerala Exam Syllabus includes 4 sections namely English language, Quantitative Aptitude sections, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning and General Awareness and Current Affairs sections.

KMAT Kerala contains a total of 180 questions with English and Quantitative Aptitude sections having 50 questions each and Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning and General Awareness sections having 40 questions each. The exam is conducted for a duration of 3 hours. For each right answer, the student is awarded 4 marks and for each wrong answer, 1 mark is deducted. 

The good score for KMAT Kerala is 10% of the total marks for General and SEBC candidates and 7.5% for SC, ST and PwD candidates. This accounts for 72 marks to be secured by general candidates and 54 marks to be secured by the SC, ST and PwD candidates.  

The KMAT Kerala exam is conducted for 720 marks. The English and Quantitative Aptitude sections for 50 x 4 = 200 marks each and Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning and General Awareness sections for 40 x 4 = 160 marks each.

The candidates have to take a print of the scorecard on their own which will have to be presented at the time of the GD & PI process and KMAT Counselling Process. 

The KMAT Kerala selection process involves the KMAT Kerala written entrance test after which the selected candidates are called in for a Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). The candidates selected after this are called for KMAT Counselling Process. 

The documents required for the KMAT Kerala Counselling Process are class 10th, 12th and graduation mark sheets, KMAT Kerala scorecard, KMAT Kerala Admit Card, and proof of domicile and caste certificate, if applicable.
