MUCMET Seat Allotment: Mumbai University takes forward the process of MUCMET Seat Allotment by preparing an All India Merit Rank for the MUCMET Exam. The MUCMET Exam is conducted to take admission of students in the BMS+MBA Program at Mumbai University. Thane Sub Campus. In all 85% of seats for this course are reserved for students of Maharashtrian Origin. The candidates, however, will have to prove their eligibility to get the admissions granted.

MUCMET Seat Allotment Process 

There are 3 merit lists released by the authorities after the declaration of results. The seat allotment process begins when the admission authority sends MUCMET counselling letters to the selected candidates. 

After that, the students have to approach on the given date and time to get their documents verified and pay the course fee of INR 50,000. Only after the fee is paid the seat for a student is secured. After the given dates of admission and fee payment, if there are any seats available, then another merit list is released. 

Candidates from the previous merit list cannot come for MUCMET Seat Allotment after the second or third list is released. Each student is checked for eligibility and scores and allotted seats thereafter.

MUCMET Seat Allotment Criteria

The MUCMET Seat Allotment is the last step in the admission process at Mumbai University integrated MBA program. There are various things taken into account for the admission process and allotment of seats. Each of these parameters is discussed in brief hereunder. 

Eligibility

At the time of seat allotment, the authorities make sure that the candidates have secured the required qualifying marks in their secondary higher education which is 45% for open category and 40% for reserved categories. In case of a tie in the entrance examination, the qualifying marks for 10+2 are considered for admission based on the merit list. 

The age of the candidates is also cross-checked with various authorised documents. The candidates should be 20 years of age to get admission and 22 years of age in the case of reserved categories. 

All India Merit Rank For MUCMET

Based on the marks attained in the MUCMET Entrance examination that the candidates need to attain, a merit list is prepared for all the candidates who appeared in the exam. The list contains the exam scores and the ranks secured by the candidate in the examination. 

This is an important step as the seats are allotted based on the ranks in this list. Another list of selected candidates is prepared with the decided cutoff score or rank and those students who make it to this list are given admission first. All those who appeared for the exam but whose name is not on the merit list of selected candidates are not eligible for seat allocation. 

Documentation

There are various documents required to be submitted in order to get a seat secured in the BMS+MBA Course at the Mumbai University, Thane Sub Campus. Students with names on the merit list who fail to submit the documents will not be allotted any seats, therefore documentation is an important step that needs to be completed for admissions here. 

Students from reserved categories also have to produce their community certificates and those from the PwD category need to provide medical certificates for the verification process. Here is a list of documents required for MUCMET Admission.

Reservation

In this course offered by the University of Mumbai 85% of seats are reserved for students from Maharashtra. There are also certain percentages of seats reserved for different categories of underrepresented backgrounds. Seats are allotted based on this percentage reservation, if the seats in one or more categories are left vacant then the authorities release another merit list to intake students.

There are a total of 60 seats available in the integrated BMS+MBA Program at Mumbai University, Thane Sub Campus. Some of these are reserved for the categories that are underrepresented and 50% of seats are given to the open category. The seat reservation criteria are given below.
