Upper Division Clerk: the role of the Upper Division Clerk (UDC) is to manage drafting letters and registers and preparing monthly, quarterly and yearly reports. 

Junior Personal Assistant: managing official communication, files, day-to-day business of your boss, fixing up meetings, schedules, etc.

ISRO SAC Recruitment Eligibility Criteria 2024

The candidates applying for the ISRO SAC should have completed their graduation degree and the maximum age limit should be 35 years. The eligibility criteria are as follows:

Scientist/Engineer: the candidates must have completed their ME/ Ph.D/M.Sc/M.Tech. any one of the mentioned degrees should have been completed. 

Technical Assistant: the candidate must have completed their diploma degree from a recognized university. 

Technician: the candidate must have completed their class 10th in any ITI course from a recognized board.

Assistant and Upper Division Clerk: the candidate must have completed their graduation with at least 60% marks and should be proficient in computers.

Junior Personal Assistant: the candidate must have completed their graduation or diploma with at least 60% marks. 

How to Apply for ISRO SAC Recruitment 2024?

The candidates applying for the ISRO SAC need to register themselves on the official website of the Indian Space Research Organisation, Space Applications Centre. Interested candidates can follow the steps given below while applying for the ISRO SAC:

  • The candidate has to first open the official website and click on the recruitment link provided there. 
  • An ‘advertisement & general information’ link would be provided. Students are required to open it and read all the instructions given there very carefully. 
  • The eligibility criteria are also given there. Students who are eligible can go back to the homepage and click on the ‘apply online’ link. 
  • Candidates are required to fill up the application form which is divided into four categories such as personal details, communication address, educational details, experience and other important information. 
  • After submitting all the necessary information correctly, students have to click on ‘submit’.
  • It is advised to the candidates to email the scanned copy of the mark sheet to the institution before the due date. 
  • It is advised to the candidates to take two copies of the application form after completion of the registration process.
  • Once the application form is submitted, the candidates will receive a 14 digits Online Registration Number that should be preserved for future reference. If the candidate forgets the registration number, then they can retrieve it by submitting their registered email address and date of birth at the official online web page. 

ISRO SAC Recruitment Admit Card 2024

The admit card will be available for the written test. It will be available on the email ID of the candidate through which they have registered. If there is any candidate who is unable to download their admit card, they must immediately contact the official authority through an email ID. The admit card will have details such as the candidate’s name, exam centre, examination time, etc. 

ISRO SAC Recruitment Selection Procedure 2024

The candidate applying for ISRO SAC will be selected based on their performance. There will be a written test which will be followed by a personal interview (only for candidates who will clear their written test). In the end, the candidates who will pass both the written test and the personal interview will have a document verification process.

Written Test 

The candidates who have fulfilled the eligibility criteria will be shortlisted for the written test. The candidates are supposed to follow ISRO written exam procedure to thoroughly prepare for the exam. The test is organized at different venues and cities all across the country.  The written test consists of 80 objective questions which carry equal marks. The candidates must be aware that the written test is only considered for the first level of screening and these test scores will not be considered for the final selection process for ISRO posts.

Personal Interview

In the interview, the candidate will be asked questions based on the job which they have applied for. The candidates will then be examined on whether they are fit to carry out the duties of the job that they have applied for. 

The candidates who are shortlisted in the interview round will be then appointed as technical assistants, technicians, scientists or junior personal assistants at the prestigious Indian Space Research Organisation.

ISRO SAC Recruitment Salary Details

  • Salary for Junior Research Fellows (JRF): for the first and the second year the JRF receives an estimate of Rs. 31000/- per month. 
  • Salary for Research Associates (RA): the research associate’s pay level is differentiated depending upon their qualification and expertise. The pay levels for the different posts are as follows: 
  1. Research Associate (RA) 1: Rs. 47,000/-
  2. Research Associate (RA) 2: Rs. 49,000/-
  3. Research Associate (RA) 3: Rs. 54,000/- 
  • Project Associate (PA): if the project associate has qualified NET/GATE through National level examinations conducted by the Central Government departments and their agencies, they will receive an estimate of Rs. 31,000/- per month. 

If the candidate does not fall under the above-mentioned category, they will receive an estimate of Rs. 25,000/- per month. 

  • Scientist, Engineer: the estimated salary of the scientist, the engineer is between Rs. 56100/- and Rs. 1.17lakhs per month. 
  • Technical Assistant: the estimated salary of the technical assistant is between Rs. 44900/- and Rs. 1.42lakh per month. 
  • Technician: the estimated salary of the technician is between Rs. 21,000/- and Rs. 69,100/- per month.

ISRO SAC Preparation Tips 

Candidates applying for the ISRO SAC should be well-versed with the syllabus and the examination pattern as it will eventually suit the candidate. We have mentioned some preparation tips which they can refer to while preparing for the exam:

  • Students should revise their GATE or other competitive exam notes. They can also refer to some of the books which have previous year question papers for ISRO and DRDO. 
  • Students should also have good time management skills as this exam requires them to answer more questions in less time. 
  • Students should try and study for at least 10-12 hours a day and pick up a particular subject or topic and revise all the formulas of that same topic. Students can accordingly make a study plan and give more attention to the subjects that they think are difficult to understand and retain. 
  • As the exam is mainly based on theory and around 85% weightage is given to it, students can make proper notes and revise from there only. This will also save up some time for them.
