Importance of General Knowledge Section in XAT 2024
The GK section in the XAT exam is not considered in the final percentile. However, it does impact the overall decision of your admission to top B-top schools. Therefore, the candidate needs to come well-prepared for the General Knowledge section and attempt it carefully to score high marks.
For all those who don’t know, the General Knowledge section in the XAT exam is allotted a total of 25 marks. All the candidates are required to attempt part 2 of GK (GK section + Essay) in 25 minutes.

- Study Current Affairs Daily: The GK section is quite a vast section from where students can be asked anything. Therefore, the candidate needs to be well-prepared.
- The candidate should make sure that they solve mock tests and online GK quizzes which will prepare them more.
- When solving the GK section, try to make an MCQ out of every question.

XAT General Knowledge section is based on Static GK. It also consists of questions on Science, Technology, Economics, Business and others.
Both XAT and CAT exams are considered to be tough exams. However, the CAT consists of more difficult questions. Although, with proper preparation, any exam can be cleared.
For every wrong answer, 0.25 marks are deducted. While +1 marks are awarded for the correct answer.
