Visit the Official CTET Website

  • Initiate the process by visiting the official website www.ctet.nic.in to complete your registration.

Click on New Registration

  • Click on the tab ‘New Registration available on the page. It is for first time users. 
  • Fill out the personal information, such as name, parents’ names, DOB, and contact information. 
  • Submit and generate the application number. It is unique and is essential for subsequent steps. 

Log in to CTET Portal

  • You must remember the unique application number and the password you created while registering for the first time on the CTET website. 
  • Use the credentials to log in to the portal.
  • Now, you are redirected to the dashboard of the application portal. 

Fill Out The Application Form

  • After logging in to the account, you are required to complete the application form, entering the requested details.
  • You must add personal information and your category (General/OBC/SC/ST/PwD). 
  • Personal details include name, date of birth, category, address (both current and permanent), phone number, email address, and gender. 
  • Academic details include academic mark sheets of class 10th and 12th grade, bachelor’s mark sheet, and a teacher training certificate. 
  • Exam details include whether you are opting for paper 1 or paper 2, or both exams. You need to fill in the choice of subjects and the medium of language. 

Attach Required Documents for CTET Application

  • Primarily, two documents are required to complete the CTET 2026 registration process. 
  • Other documents, including academic and personal information, are already attached to the application form. Hence, only a recent photograph and a signature are required to attach. 
  • Photograph requirements: It must be a colored photograph with 10 KB to 100 KB size and dimensions of 3.5 cm × 4.5 cm. 
  • Signature requirements: the signature must be in JPG or JPEG format between the sizes of 3 KB to 30 KB and dimensions of 3.5 cm × 1.5 cm. 

Pay CTET Application Fee

  • Now, you have to select the convenient mode of payment to pay the fees.

What to Do If Your CTET Confirmation Page Is Not Generated After Paying the Fees?

After you have successfully paid the CTET application fee and submitted the application form, you will generally get the automatically generated confirmation receipt page. This is typically evidence that you have paid the application fee for CTET exam. During the time of releasing of CTET admit card, verification of documentation, or any other future reference, it might play an important role. 

There can be instances where candidates might not get the CTET confirmation page due to various reasons and glitches, including server and technical issues, payment delays, network issues, and many more. In such cases, you are not required to panic as CBSE gives a streamlined process to help candidates who fail to get the confirmation page. 

So, if your CTET confirmation page is not generated after submission of the application on the portal, you are required to immediately notify the CTET Deputy Secretary. However, you must present a valid proof of fee payment along with such an application. Candidates can either submit a copy of the challan if they have paid through e-challan, or they can submit a transaction receipt or bank statement in case of online payment.
