Established in 1967, Ulm University was planned to be established a decade ago, the University of Ulm is located within the South German state of Baden-Württemberg. It is a public research-led institute and is one of the youngest institutes in Germany as a whole. Research centers of organizations like Daimler, BMW, Siemens, and previously also Nokia, AEG, have established their research centers at the location, in addition to institutes of the university focusing on applied research. Ulm University has affiliations with DFG (German Research Foundation), GUC, and NUS. 

Infrastructure, Campuses and Courses

The main campus of the Ulm university consists of various public research centers, industrial research centers, and development research centers. Ulm University has a peaceful learning atmosphere and offers all the needed facilities required by the researchers. The infrastructure of the university is well-maintained and in an organized manner. Furthermore, continuing academic education provides education for working professionals. Ulm University has four faculties,i.e. Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Engineering, Computer Science and Psychology, Faculty of Mathematics and Economics, and Faculty of Natural Sciences. The Ulm University has moreover defined its research works to be within the fields of Engineering and Technology, Life Sciences and Medicine, Nanomaterials and Biomaterials, and Financial Services.

Accomplishments and Alumni 

Ulm University, located on the River Danube, was also the birthplace of Albert Einstein. Ulm University is also home to a science park, which itself hosts various high-tech public and industrial research and development centers, along with three hospitals. The notable alumni of the institute are Dirk Jens Nonnenmacher (CEO of HSH Nord Bank), Bernd Schroeppel (Former Nephrologist at Sinai Medical Centre), and Gens Marklof (German Mathematician).

Student Diversity and Visiting Companies

The institute has a total of 9,900 students at the institute with about 2,400 academic staff. The institute has about 1,300 international students on campus. The male to female ratio is 32:68 at the institute. The visiting companies on the campus are Daimler, Continental AG, and BMW.
