Established in the year 1927, National Chengchi University (NCCU) is a public-funded, non-profit university situated in the city of Taiwan, China. Initially started as the Central Party Affairs School and the Central Political School in Nanjing, it got its university tag in 1946. The university was relocated to Taiwan in the year 1954. NCCU offers an array of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs to its more than 16,000 student population across 9 colleges. These colleges are namely, the College of Law, Commerce, Communication, Education, International Affairs, Foreign Language and Literature, Social Science, Liberal Arts, and the College of Science. NCU has 2 campuses located in Daan District and on Wanshou Road and also has 3 affiliated schools. It houses many research centres like the Institute of International Relations, Center for Creativity and Innovation Studies, Center for Aboriginal Studies, Election Study Center, and Center for China Studies. It also has academic partnerships with more than 400 leading global universities and is thus able to offer student exchange and visiting scholar programs.
