History, Affiliations and Rankings

Golden Gate University, formerly known as GGU School of Law, was established in the fall of 1901 as the YMCA Evening Law School, launching California's first evening law programme. Today, the University is a leading provider of professional education in Business and Management, Accounting, Taxation and Law. GGU is accredited by WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC), the organization that accredits universities in California and Hawaii, including Stanford, University of San Francisco, UC Berkeley, and San Jose State University.
