Value of University of Twente Scholarships for International Students

The amount offered to international students under the University of Twente Scholarships is mentioned below.

50 scholarships approx available with an amount of € 3,000 – € 22,000 [INR 2.66 lakh to 19.5 lakh] for one year.

Costs Covered 

If your application is considered and is successful then make sure you know about the fact that University of Twente Scholarships for international students is meant for compensation purposes only. There are no specific costs covered under this scholarship from the university’s perspective. The university doesn’t take it upon itself to pay costs such as tuition fees etc for the students. It is up to the students to decide how to divide and spend the amount of the scholarship that they are offered under this scholarship. 

Eligibility Criteria 

To apply for this scholarship, you must be aware of the eligibility criteria first, so you can understand the conditions that you meet and the ones you don’t. 

1. Students must meet the requirements of English Language Proficiency Scores. 

• IELTS: 6.5 (additional 6.0 on speaking)
• TOEFL iBT: 90

2. Students must have received an admission letter or offer letter first. 
3. Students are provisionally provided admission to one of the master’s programs, starting in the September intake. 
4. Students must have a student number. 
5. Students must meet the requirements to obtain a Netherlands visa entry. 
6. Students are not graduated from a University of Twente graduate program. 
7. Students are not eligible for a Dutch study loan. 
8. Students need to have an extremely well academic background to be considered for this scholarship. 

Two-Year Study Programme 

Usually, this scholarship provides an amount of value for one year. But if the student wishes to continue the scholarship for the two-year study programme, students can go for an additional University of Twente Scholarship which is equal to the amount offered in the first year. Though for the continuation of the scholarship to the second year, there are further eligibility requirements that the student must meet: 

1. At the end of the third quartile of the first year, students should have scored an average grade of 7 out of 10. 
2. At the end of the third quartile of the first year, students should have obtained at least 50% of European Credits.
