University of Oslo Courses Fees

International exchange students do not pay tuition. They only need to pay the NOK 550-semester registration cost. Students can not apply for PhD programs as there is no tuition for PhD programs. Students can apply for PhD financing from outside sources. 

Following are the fees for the bachelor’s and master’s programs at the University of Oslo:

Eligibility Criteria

Students from foreign exchange programs can apply to master’s courses taught in English. Students in the international exchange program must stay for a year. Candidates for admission to the University of Oslo must meet the fundamental prerequisites.

  • The applicant must have finished 10+2 from a CBSE or CISCE/ICSE board with a grade point average of 75-80%.
  • For admission into the master’s program, candidates must hold a valid bachelor’s degree.
  • There is a requirement of GPA of 3.0 and an IB score of 33.  
  • An IELTS score of 6.5 or a TOEFL score of 95 is required to demonstrate your English ability to UiO.
  • Scholars seeking admission to PhD programs must have completed a 5-year master’s degree program in their field.

How to Apply to University of Oslo Courses?

Admission is only available once a year. However, you may apply for up to two different programs or study options. After the application deadline, it is not possible to add or change programs. If you are applicable to your first priority, you will not be eligible to your second preference.

  • The academic year begins in August.
  • You will be notified of the outcome of your application by the 5th of April.
