In addition to this, giving cultivates personal growth. It teaches us empathy, understanding, and generosity. These qualities shape our character. For instance, a child, who is encouraged to share toys or treats with friends during his birthday celebration at an early age, learns lessons about sharing and being generous. Nevertheless, it is crucial to recognize that giving extends beyond possessions. Giving can manifest in forms such as time, effort, or emotional support. Assisting a neighbor with their groceries or volunteering at a shelter house during Christmas exemplifies acts of generosity that enrich not only our lives but also the lives of those around us.
