Special Conditions for Indian Students by the Technical University of Munich
- Bachelor’s and Master’s programs: Applicants typically need a Preliminary Documentation (VPD) from uni-assist and a direct application to TUM.
- Studienkolleg (An institution that prepares students, academically and linguistically, for their studies in Germany during a one-year course.): No VPD required. Applicants should upload an Academic Evaluation Center (APS; it verifies the documents of applicants who wish to apply for studies in Germany with a Chinese, Vietnamese or Indian school or university degree) certificate during the online application.
- Non-Indian Bachelor’s Degree: Even if the APS certificate is initially required, you must submit certified final graduation documents to TUM during enrollment. The APS requirement is waived only after submitting these final documents.
- Doctoral Degree: APS certificate not needed.
- Specific Programs: Some programs require GRE or GATE scores. IIT graduates are exempt from GATE.
TUM School of Management: Certain master’s programs require a GMAT score of at least 640 points for Indian bachelor’s degree holders.
