The University of Geneva is offering an Excellence Master Fellowship to international students for the academic year 2024. The Faculty of Science introduced this scholarship with the support of external partners. The scholarship is available to outstanding students who want to enroll in a Master of Science degree program. The scholarship benefit is a reduction in the tuition fees. Moreover, academically successful applicants then it possible to extend the scholarship. The deadline for the scholarship is  28 February 2024 for the Masters courses starting in September.

Excellence Master Fellowships 2024 Eligibility 

The eligibility requirements for the Excellence Master Fellowship are as follows:

  • Must be a student with an excellent academic record
  • The applicant must meet the academic requirements of the selected program. For example, astronomy, mathematics, biology, etc.

Excellence Master Fellowships 2024 Benefits 

The benefits of the Excellence Master Fellowships 2024 are as follows:

  • The University awards an annual grant ranging from CHF 10,000 to CHF 15,000 for one year, with no associated teaching duties.
  • Furthermore, the University may extend the scholarship to applicants who demonstrate academic success after their first semester of studies.

Excellence Master Fellowships 2024 Documentation

To apply for the Excellence Master Fellowships 2024 applicants must present relevant documentation;

  • Scan of the UNIGE card, or, the mail of the central administration named “Your application to UNIGE”. That is, the proof of starting the matriculation process is necessary.
  • Additionally, the applicant must present a copy of the passport, CV, and transcripts of the exams cleared during the Bachelors.
  • A motivation letter specifying the scientific interests, and the desire to pursue a Master’s at the University of Geneva must be submitted.
  • GRE scores, and TOEFL or other language test scores 
  • Two letters of recommendation must also be submitted
