University of Otago International Master’s Research Scholarship

The University of Otago International Research Master’s Scholarship is available for Master’s students. However, the applicants must be obtaining their first Master’s qualification, and undertake a thesis-based master’s degree. The scholarship benefit is NZ$17,172 (INR 8.42 lakh) stipend per annum plus a tuition fee waiver for 1 year. The selection process will be on the basis of an applicant’s potential for research and academic merit.

University of Otago Coursework Master’s Scholarship

The University of Otago Coursework Master’s Scholarship is available to international students and domestic students.  The aim of the scholarship is to support coursework-based Master’s students studying at the University. However, the MBA students are not eligible to apply. All applicants must obtain their 1st Otago Coursework Master’s qualification for the scholarship consideration. The benefit of the scholarship is NZ$10,000 (INR 4.90 lakh) towards fees in the first instance.

Vice-Chancellor’s International Postgraduate Scholarships

The Vice-Chancellor’s International Postgraduate Scholarships is available to full-time postgraduate students. The scholarships recognize the diversity, academic achievement, and leadership skills of the applicant. However, permanent residents or resident visa holders of New Zealand are not eligible. Applicants must meet the eligibility criteria of the program and must have secured a grade point average equivalent to New Zealand B+. The benefit is  NZ$10,000  (INR 4.90 lakh) as tuition fees.
