The University of Galway Hardiman Scholarship for the academic year 2024-25 is open for international students. The fully funded scholarship offers a stipend of €22,000 p.a. plus a tuition fee waiver. High-achieving individuals with an appetite for research and creativity can apply. However, students must meet the eligibility criteria. Suitably qualified individuals will get the opportunity to pursue a Structured PhD focused on the five key research areas. The scholarship is available for 4 years and for students commencing their PhD in September 2024. The deadline for application is 9 February 2024.
Hardiman Ph.D. Scholarship 2024 Eligibility
University of Galway Hardiman Ph.D. Scholarship 2024 eligibility requirements are as follows:
- The applicant must have secured a first or upper-second-class honors primary degree or equivalent.
- Additionally, he/she must meet the English eligibility requirements of the university
- However, students who are already registered as PhD students are not eligible

Hardiman Ph.D. Scholarship Application Process
The Hardiman Ph.D. scholarship 2024 application process is as follows:
- Interested students must find a supervisor from the university before 9 February 2024
- Secondly, the student has to apply before 9 February 2024
- Additionally, 2 references must be submitted to undertake postgraduate research. The same must be submitted before 9 February 2024
An interview will be held for the shortlisted students between Thursday 11 Apr to Friday 19 Apr 2024. The results will be declared on Early May 2024. The scholarship would begin on 2nd September 2024.
