Study Abroad: Russian Medical Universities to Provide Over 5000 Seats to Indian Students; Fair in Madurai on June 20

Russian medical universities are set to provide over 5,000 medical seats to Indian students during the 2023-24 academic year. This opportunity will be provided to the students at the All India Russian Education Fair 2023.

The second edition of the All India Russian Education Fair 2023 will take place on June 20. It will be held at The Madurai Residency Hotel in Madurai, Tamil Nadu. 

This fair will offer on-the-spot admissions for MBBS, engineering, and technology courses. 

As per Russian university officials, their institutions have met the recent criteria set by the National Medical Commission (NMC) for recognising MBBS courses offered by foreign medical universities.

Who Can Apply to Russian Universities?

1. Students who have cleared the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) can apply for the undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programs in medicine. 
2. They are also required to have passed the higher secondary school examination or its equivalent. They need to have obtained a minimum of 50 per cent marks in the relevant core subjects/degrees. For SC/ST and OBC students, the minimum needed score is 40 per cent. 
3. Additionally, students who have studied in the Tamil medium are also eligible to apply.

Admission to Russian universities does not require pre-qualifying exams such as CET or IELTS. The fair will provide an opportunity for on-the-spot admissions.
