Study Abroad: Rotary Peace Fellowship Applications Open for 2024-25 

Rotary International, the service organization is offering 130 fully funding fellowships. The fellowships are available to dedicated leaders worldwide to study at a Rotary Peace Center. The Rotary Peace Centers offers students academic training practice and global networking opportunities. Moreover, it assists in developing the capacity of peace and developmental professionals to become effective catalysts for peace. The full-funding fellowships cover tuition fees, round-trip transportation expenses,field-study expenses, room and board expenses, and internship expenses of the beneficiaries. Currently, applications are open for the  Rotary Peace Fellowship 2025-26. The deadline for the application is on 15 May 2024.

Rotary Peace Fellowship Program  

The Rotary Peace Fellowship is for leaders with work experience in the area of peace and development. Therefore, the fellows must commit to community and international service for peace. Under the Rotary Peace Fellowship Program, 50 fellowships for MA degrees and 80 fellowships for undertaking certificate studies at premier universities are available. 

The MA degree program can last for 15-24 months consisting of a 3-month field study. On the other hand, the Professional development certificate program lasts for 1 year. It is a blended learning program that consists of field studies and carrying out social change initiatives. This program is meant for working professionals. A postgraduate diploma is available post-course completion.

Rotary Peace Fellowship Eligibility 

Those applying for a Rotary Peace Fellowship must have relevant work experience in peacebuilding. Else, they can have professional experience in the area of development, and demonstrate potential for future growth and impact resulting from participation in the fellowship.

The relevant experience can be in the areas of planning, implementation, evaluation of peacebuilding, or development initiatives in categories such as Government, official diplomacy, policymaking, Economic development, Non-governmental organizations,  Research and education initiatives, Advocacy and activism,  Leadership in a religious congregation or organization, Private citizen diplomacy, Media and the arts, Law enforcement or military positions related to peacekeeping, or Public health roles related to community development.

The selection process is based on English proficiency, leadership potential, and Commitment to peace and development, among others. Those interested in Rotary Peace Fellowship can apply by visiting the offical website of Rotary International.
