Study Abroad: PTE Academic Get Approved for SDS Applications by IRCC 

Pearson is now accepting applications for all SDS students. The learning company received approval from IRCC. The official will implement the policy after 10 August 2023. ‘

Students willing to study in Canada can achieve their dream of studying abroad, as stated by Andy Bird, CEO of Pearson. IRCC processed more than 750,300 applications in 2022. The figures for applications are rising. 

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada or IRCC approved the learning organisation, Pearson, to accept all the SDS applications. The SDS or Student Direct Stream is an application for an expedited study permit process for international students. 

Students from the following countries can apply for SDS; Brazil, China, Antique and Barbuda, Saint Vincent, Grenadines, Peru, Philippines, Senegal, Peru, Morocco, India, Pakistan, Costa Rica, Colombia and Grenadines, Vietnam, Trinidad and Tobago. 

Candidates who have taken the  PTE test before 10 August 2023, will be eligible for SDS. Moreover, the application submitted after this date will be within the expiration date stipulated by IRCC. The applicants must read the IRCC guidance once. 

The latest figures for the year 2022 reached an all-time high for international students, as shown by the IRCC. Around 7,50,300 study permits were processed during the year 2022 calendar year. 

PTE Exam in Different Countries

Many countries all around the globe accept PTE grades. Countries such as Canada, New Zealand, Ireland, Australia, the UK and the USA accept the PTE Academic Scores. Also, there are about 400 PTE centres in 118 countries. The Governments of the UK, Australia and New Zealand already accept the PTE Academic for all visa applications. 

PTE is considered proof of English proficiency for Canadian Permanent Residency or Citizenship. Moreover, the test takers can book their slots online up to 24 hours in advance. Students have access to year-round worldwide test centres. So, the students will get the results within 1.3 days, after the exam.
