The Alistair Murdoch Research Bursary was created in honor of Alistair Murdoch through donations from his friends and family. Its purpose is to encourage master’s and doctoral research projects that are practically related to animal health and welfare. Alistair Murdoch attended the veterinary school at Murdoch University and graduated in 1981. Before his tragic passing, Alistair enjoyed an amazing and varied career as a veterinarian. Even though Alistair’s friends, relatives, and coworkers were saddened by his passing, they also recalled him as a man who was enthusiastic about veterinary research and who had an upbeat, gregarious, and loving attitude.
