Who is Jesus Christ and What is his Mission to the World?

According to the Bible, Jesus Christ is the “Son of God”. He took birth on earth in the form of a human with the mission to serve humanity and teach the lesson of mercy and forgiveness. Jesus was born between 6 BC and 4 BC. An angel blessed Mother Mary that she would have a wonder child whose name would be Jesus. So, Jesus was born from the virgin womb of Mother Mary.

He dedicated his life to serving the poor and needy and led a sinless life. Jesus stated that “I and the Father are one.” His statement meant that he and God are one. Jewish people were against the teachings and beliefs of Jesus Christ so they accused him of blasphemy and stoned him to death. Jeweish refused to accept him as God. 

As he is the God, he was resurrected 3 days after his death. Resurrection of Jesus is the Christian belief that God raised Jesus from death.

Jesus is the Son of God

“Then they all said, ‘Are You then the Son of God?’ So He said to them, ‘You rightly say that I am'” (Luke 22:70).

“Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth'” (Matthew 28:18).

“Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God” (John 5:17).

Remember that a man claiming to be God is a radical Also, 2 Corinthians 2:21 says, “He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”

“For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him at the last day” (John 6:40).

“I tell you the truth, he who believes has everlasting life.” (John 6:47).

Who is Jesus’ Father?

Saint Joseph (Hebrew: יוסף, romanized: Yosef; Greek: Ἰωσήφ, romanized: Ioséph) was Jesus Father according to Luke. In another variant, Matthew is referred to as the Father of Jesus Christ. He was the earthly father of Jesus who lived in he lived in Nazareth in Galilee. Joseph was married to Mother Mary and Jesus was their son, but he was not their biological child, as he was born with the blessing of angels.

Is Jesus God?

In ancient times Christians believed that Jesus was a human being and many people were against his teachings and beliefs. Later on, people started to believe that he was the son of God as he was born to the union of God and a mortal as the Holy Spirit blessed Mother Mary and she conceived Jesus.
