Dear Grandma,

I hope you are feeling well. I miss you a lot. I am writing this letter to tell you about my school trip last week.

We went to Sinhagad Fort, which is about 35 km from Pune. It is a very old fort and was once ruled by the great Maratha king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Our teachers told us that the famous Battle of Sinhagad happened here in 1670. We climbed many steps to reach the top, and the view from the top was beautiful. I could see the green hills all around.

We also saw Tanaji Malusare’s samadhi and a small museum. I took many pictures with my friends. I learned a lot about history on this trip. We ate lunch there and came back in the evening.

I missed you and wished you were there with us. I will show you the photos when we meet.

With love,
Your grandson,
Ankit

Dearest Grandmother,

I hope you are healthy and smiling. I am writing to share the fun I had during our school trip this week.

Our class visited the Gujarat Science City. It is a big science museum and learning park in Ahmedabad. We started with the 3D Space Show. It showed how astronauts live in space. I felt like I was floating among stars and planets!

Then we went to the Aquatic Gallery. I saw colorful fish, sea horses, starfish, turtles, and even a giant octopus. There were over 188 species of marine life. I even saw fish from the Amazon River!

Next, we visited the Robotics Gallery. A robot welcomed us and spoke a few lines. It was amazing to see machines that could move and talk like humans. We also tried hands-on science experiments like making magnets float and building small windmills.

There was also a Hall of Energy that explained how solar and wind energy work. I learned how we can use green energy to save nature.

I bought a fridge magnet with the solar system printed on it. I got one for you, too!

Please take care of your health. I miss you a lot and will tell you more when we meet.

Lots of love,

Your granddaughter,
Riya

Dear Nani,

Namaste! I hope you are doing well. I had a very exciting school trip last week, and I wanted to tell you all about it.

Our class visited Nandankanan Zoological Park, which is just 20 kilometers from our school. It is a special place because it is both a zoo and a wildlife sanctuary. It covers more than 400 hectares of land with forests and lakes.

First, we saw many animals like Asiatic lions, Bengal tigers, white tigers, zebras, black bears, and giraffes. We even saw some baby animals like lion cubs and deer. The zoo is clean, and the animals have large, open spaces to live in.

The most exciting part was the safari ride. We sat in a safe, closed bus and went deep into the forest. I saw a white tiger walking just 10 meters away! It was both scary and exciting.

Then we visited the Reptile House. It had snakes, crocodiles, and lizards. I learned that the King Cobra found here can grow up to 18 feet long!

There is also a botanical garden with more than 300 types of trees and plants. Our teacher told us how the zoo helps in saving endangered animals and teaches people to love nature.

I wish you were there with us. I know how much you love animals and flowers. I took many photos and will show them to you soon.

With warm hugs and kisses,

Your loving grandson,
Soham
