Admission to MEd programs at Indira Gandhi National Open University for the 2024–25 academic year is not available. On the other hand, the IGNOU admissions procedure has begun for the July session, and the application deadline is June 30, 2024. Interested candidates can visit the IGNOU official admission portal at @ignou.ac.in to complete the application. To be admitted, aspirants must pay INR 300 for the application form.

About IGNOU M.Ed Admission 2024

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is accepting applications for their Master of Education (M.Ed) program starting in July 2024. Important note: IGNOU is not offering M.Ed. admission for the entire 2024-25 academic session.

Please note that admission for Certificate Programmes is now closed. Eligible students can also apply for Government of India Scholarships on the National Scholarship Portal after confirming their admission.

IGNOU M.Ed Admission Process

IGNOU offers two convenient methods for M.Ed. admission: online and offline.

Online Admission Process

• Visit the IGNOU Online Admission System.
• Select your desired M Ed program and carefully review the program details, including eligibility criteria, fee structure, and duration.
• Click on “NEW REGISTRATION” if you’re a first-time applicant. Fill in the required registration details, including your email and mobile number.
• Choose a unique username (8 to 16 characters) and an alphanumeric password (8 to 16 characters).
• After completing the mandatory information, click “SUBMIT.” Your username will be sent to you via email and SMS.

Prepare the following scanned documents:

• Photograph (less than 100 KB)
• Signature (less than 100 KB)
• Relevant Educational Qualification (less than 200 KB)
• Experience Certificate (if any, less than 200 KB)
• Category Certificate (if SC/ST/OBC, less than 200 KB)

At last, pay the required fees using one of the online payment methods. Once you have uploaded all the documents, you can preview your form, save it, and print it for future reference.

Offline Admission Process

If you prefer the offline method, you can collect the IGNOU Application Form from your nearest regional centre. You can also download the form online. Follow these steps for offline admission:

1. Fill in the M.Ed. application form with the provided instructions carefully.
2. Review your form for accuracy and completeness.
3. Submit your completed M.Ed. Admission Form to the nearest IGNOU Regional Centre.

Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for M.Ed. admission at IGNOU, it’s crucial to understand the eligibility criteria and fee structure for the programme.

• You must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education (B Ed) with at least 55% marks.
• You should be a teacher with a minimum of two years of teaching experience in a school recognized by a central or state government or a union territory.
