- She/they/he should have chosen any of the 3 subjects from the Science stream, viz, Biology, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Computer Science, and Statistics
JBNSTS Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti (Senior)
To qualify for this Jagadish Chandra Bose Scholarship in the Senior category, the applicant must meet the following requirements:
- The candidate must be a female
- She must have cleared 12th Class from a certified education board with outstanding marks
- She must be admitted to any Science Degree Course in any college or university in West Bengal
JBNSTS Senior Talent Search
Any applicant for the JBNSTS Senior Talent Search is required to adhere to the following criteria:
- She/they/he must have either cleared 12th Class or be currently enrolled in this class
- She/they/he must procure admission to a Science undergraduate course

Jagadish Chandra Bose Scholarship Exam Syllabus and Pattern
Class 10 and Class 12 students must prepare from their respective course books, either the NCERT textbooks or the West Bengal Education Board-prescribed books, to excel in the JBNSTS Talent Search Examination.
JBNSTS Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti (Junior)/ Junior Talent Search
To appear for the JBNSTS Junior Talent Search Test and the JBNSTS Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti (Junior) Test, applicants must be thorough with the Class 10 curriculum of NCERT textbooks of the following subjects:
- Physical Science
- Mathematics
- Life Science
Exam Pattern
Both exams are for 120 minutes/2 hours. These tests are for a total of 90 marks. Marks distribution for different subjects is tabulated below:

Jagadish Chandra Bose Scholarship Selection Process
JBNSTS selects eligible candidates for Junior scholarships through two rounds: a written Test and a Personal Interview. However, there is an additional step in the Senior scholarship tests. Candidates appearing for JBNSTS are selected on the basis of a written test, a personal interview, and a scientific creativity test.
