SSC CISF Latest Updates

The CISF has recently closed applications for temporary posts of CISF Constable Tradesman. The jobs are offered for Pay Level 3 which ranges from INR 21,700 to INR 69,100 per month. The candidate will be entitled to the usual allowances, and pension benefits as per the Defined Contributory Pension System known as the National Pension System. 

The CISF Constable Tradesman Recruitment includes the following tests Physical Standards Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Documentation, Trade Test, written examination under the Computer-based Test (CBT) mode, and Medical Examination. Out of all vacancies, 10% are reserved to be filled by women candidates. It is also to be noted that all the vacancies will be filled on a regional basis.

SSC CISF Exam Pattern

The exam pattern for SSC CISF Exam is unique. The CISF Constable Tradesman Recruitment is not carried out in a pattern with the division of marks, it is an elimination process where all candidates are called for the screening round and elimination slips are provided at each step to the non-qualifying candidates. The last written exam is a competitive test to score the best in order to secure a seat. The recruitment selection process’s sequence is given below.

Physical Standard Test 

There are height and weight criteria for screening through Physical Standard Test. The standard chart for evaluation is mentioned below.

Physical Efficiency Test

The candidates qualified under the Physical Standard Test are promoted to the Physical Efficiency Test and then screened on the basis of race. 

  1. All male candidates are required to complete a 1.6 Km race in 6 minutes and 30 seconds 
  2. And all females are required to complete 800 meters in 4 minutes.

Document Verification 

The screening of all original documents is done before the trade test and candidates who fail to produce the original documents in time are not considered eligible for the trade test. The list of documents required for verification is as follows:

  1. Educational Qualification Certificate
  2. DOB Certificate
  3. Domicile Certificate
  4. Caste certificates in case of reservation.
  5. Income proof in case of EWS category. 
  6. Proof of eligibility for relaxation for candidates who have applied in any other category.
  7. Passport-size photographs with the date of clicking printed on them. The photograph must not be more than 3 months old. 
  8. Identity proof like Aadhar, Voter ID, Driving License, etc.

Written Exam 

The written exam consists of 100 multiple-choice questions. Each question is for one mark and the whole exam is for 100 marks. This test has to be completed over a duration of 2 hours. The exam is a Computer-based Test (CBT) conducted in English and Hindi. The list of subjects is as follows:

  2. Elementary Mathematics
  3. Analytical Aptitude
  4. Observation and Distinguishing Patterns 
  5. Basic Knowledge of Hindi/English

Medical Test 

The Medical Test does not include any major requirements. It basically includes the test for vision. The candidates should have the near vision of N6 for the better eye where ‘N’ stands for ‘Near’ and 6 refers to the size of the letter. The worse eye vision should not be more than N9. 

The distant vision for the better eye should be 6/6 and that for the worse eye should be 6/9. The candidates should get their eyesight personally checked before applying for the exam to check their eligibility.

SSC CISF Eligibility Criteria

The SSC CISF exams are an extensive set of multiple tests, so before applying, the candidates must check their eligibility to avoid any kind of discrepancies at the time of admission. Here is what one must check before applying for the SSC CISF exam 2022. 

  1. The candidate must be between 18-23 years of age as of 01 August 2022.
  2. There are 3 years of relaxation for candidates from SC, and ST, categories and also for Ex-Servicemen in government institutions.  There are 5 years of relaxation for OBC candidates. 
  3. Educational qualifications include completion of class 10th or its equivalent from a recognised board or university for skilled trades.
  4. ITI Trained personnel will be considered. 

SSC CISF Application Procedure

The SSC CISF application has to be submitted online and the recruitment is provided based on the requirement as per the region. The application has to be successfully submitted before the deadline to be able to sit for the examination. Any pending payments or information after the deadline may leave the candidate disqualified. The procedure for the application is as follows.

  2. Fill out the application form.
  3. Attach the necessary documents like a photograph, signature, and other qualifying documents.
  4. Pay Rs.100/- as the application fee and print the application form.

CISF Constable Tradesman Admit Card

CISF Constable Tradesman admit card for PET/ PST was released online in the last week of March 2023 by the officials of the Central Industrial Security Forces (CISF). Candidates who had successfully applied for this recruitment can download their admit cards by following the instructions given below.

  • Click on the direct CISF Constable Tradesman website at https://www.cisfrectt.in/cisf_rectt_ct_tradesman/ct_tradesman_login.php.
  • Candidates need to enter their registration number, password and a captcha code given on the screen and then click on the submit button.
  • Your CISF Constable Tradesman PET/ PST admit card will be displayed on your screen
  • Check all the details mentioned on it carefully and take a printout of it.

The CISF Constable Tradesman PET/ PST admit card will contain important information such as the candidate’s name, date of birth, registration number, address, and venue, date and time of the physical endurance test.
