Karnataka: KSET (Karnataka State Eligibility Test)
The Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the University of Mysore on behalf of the Karnataka State Eligibility Test Center (KSET Center). The KSET exam is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for the post of Assistant Professor in universities and colleges across Karnataka.
The KSET exam is conducted in various subjects such as Science, Commerce, Arts, Languages, and Social Sciences. The exam consists of two papers, namely Paper 1, and Paper 2. Paper 1 is common for all candidates and tests the teaching and research aptitude of the candidate. Paper 2 and Paper 3 are subject-specific papers.
To be eligible for the KSET exam, candidates must have a Master’s degree or equivalent in the relevant subject with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/Cat-1/PwD candidates). Candidates who are pursuing their Master’s degree can also apply for the KSET exam. However, such candidates will be considered eligible only if they pass the exam before the final result declaration.
Telangana State Eligibility Test
The TS SET exam is a great opportunity for candidates who wish to pursue a career in teaching and research in Telangana. The exam provides a gateway to the post of Assistant Professor in universities and colleges in the state. Madhya Pradesh State Eligibility Test
Madhya Pradesh State Level Eligibility Test (MP SET) is a state-level eligibility test conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) to determine the eligibility of candidates for the position of Assistant Professor in universities and colleges in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The exam is conducted in various subjects such as Chemical Sciences, Commerce, Computer Science and Applications, Economics, English, Geography, Hindi, History, Law, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Political Science, Sanskrit, Sociology, and Urdu.
The MP SET exam is conducted in two papers, Paper-I and Paper II. Paper-I consists of 50 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) of 2 marks each, and Paper-II consists of 100 MCQs of 2 marks each. The total duration of the exam is 3 hours.
Candidates who have secured at least 40% marks in Paper-I and Paper-II taken together (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates) are considered eligible for the position of Assistant Professor.
To apply for the MP SET exam, candidates must have a master’s degree with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates) in the relevant subject. The application process for the MP SET exam will be conducted on 4th June 2023.
Assam State Eligibility Test
The Assam State Eligibility Test (Assam SET) is an entrance examination conducted by the Government of Assam for the recruitment of Assistant Professors in colleges and universities across the state. The test is conducted by the SLET Commission, Assam, which is responsible for organizing the exam, releasing the official notification, conducting the exam, and declaring the results.
