PU BA LLB 2023 Selection Process

Every applicant of the PU BA LLB Exam is expected to prepare well in advance and be well versed with all the topics given in the syllabus. Smart preparation also includes preparing not only for the written exam but also for the entire selection process including the arrangement of all necessary documents and being well prepared for the counselling in advance. 

The PU BA LLB Selection process is detailed below:

• The process starts from the points of eligibility. The first criterion of selection is the candidate must have at least scored 50% marks in the qualifying examination. The marks required for SC and ST candidates is 45%. 
• The next step is the written examination. 
• Based on these factors, once the examination has been conducted, a merit list of candidates will be prepared 
• After preparing the merit list, a cut-off list will be released at the time of counselling. 
• Based on these cut-offs the candidates approach different colleges for admissions and complete the admission process by submitting the documents and submitting the fees. 

PU BA LLB 2023 Merit List

Results of the PU BA LLB entrance examination are released as individual scorecards that are available on the candidate’s login page. Along with the result, the authorities also release the PU BA LLB Merit list that helps the candidates navigate the selection process. 

The merit list carries the candidates’ exam roll numbers, ranks, and scores. All the candidate details appear in the order of the ranks scored, the highest rank is the first and the list goes on. 

The candidates need to note that the merit list is prepared on two criteria. The scores of the entrance exam and marks scored by the candidate in Class 12 carry 50% weightage each.

PU BA LLB 2023 Counselling

All the Law Centres at the University of Panjab conduct admission counselling separately. The counselling session is an essential part of the selection process and is mandatory to secure admission at the university. 

The counselling session is conducted offline, and candidates shortlisted through the merit list are eligible to attend the counselling. Selected candidates have to visit the campus to seek admission and complete their registration at the university, submitting all the required documents and certificates (if applicable) for university verification. Once the candidate pays the admission fee, he/she confirms their admission.

Documents Required During Counselling

The university require documents to verify the credibility of the student’s score, educational qualifications and personal information for background evaluation. The required documents for the counselling process are as follows:

1. Marksheets of class 10th and class 12th. 
2. The birth certificate of the candidate.
3. An affidavit in case of gap years/s.
4. Caste Certificates in the case of Reserved Categories. 
5. Character certificates
6. Admit card
