As a student who is preparing for Law, there are two entrance exam names you must have heard of i.e. LSAT and CLAT. Students who wish to take admissions to the best universities for Law in India have to appear for these respective tests. Often students are engaged in the debate of “LSAT vs CLAT”.

About LSAT Exam

The full form of LSAT is the Law School Admission Test. It is a standardized test that a student has to take if he/she seeks admission to the best colleges in the world for law subjects. The students in India can opt for LSAT- India. This exam is conducted by LSAC (Law School Admission Council). 

Recently, the exam date for January 2024 cycle is announced i.e 20th January and 21st January 2024. The registrations for the same started in August last year.

About CLAT Exam

On the contrary, the CLAT exam (Common Law Entrance Test) is for students who wish to take admission to Undergraduate and Postgraduate law programs in India. 

This exam is conducted once an year and according to the recent 2024 cycle, the exam was conducted on 3rd December 2023 and the result will be announced soon (Tentatively January 2024).

Which Exam is Better: LSAT or CLAT?

There is no report that can draw a conclusion about the difficulty of both the law entrance tests in India.

However, there are reports that suggest according to the students, CLAT is comparatively more difficult than LSAT in India.
