CLAT Selection Process: CLAT is a national-level government entrance test, that is conducted to get admission to five-year integrated LLB (BA LLB, BBA LLB, BSc LLB, BCom LLB, etc.) and LLM courses. The difficulty level of the exam is moderate to high. Each year the exam is conducted once a year and includes several numbers of steps that you need to go through. CLAT Selection Process Dates

The CLAT selection process includes a number of things mentioned below.

The day the results come out, eligible students will further register themselves for the counselling and seat Allotment. Once the Seat Allotment and seat Locking process is done, you will have to report to the individual for Admission.

CLAT Counselling

Following are the steps that you need to go through the step-by-step process of CLAT counselling 2024:

Register for Counselling: Qualified students here will register themselves for the counselling and seat allotment.

Counselling Fee Payment: After the result declaration, the candidates who belong to the general category need to pay. 30,000/- and SC/ST candidates need to pay Rs. 20,000/-.

Registration: After that you need to register for the counselling process by providing the basic details like educational qualifications, and other relevant details.

Seat Allotment: Based on the rank secured by the student and their marks, seats will be allotted to them in multiple rounds.

Document Verification: Now you need to verify the documents at the college allotted to you.

Release of Merit List

The Consortium of NLUs will probably out the merit list of the CLAT 2024 exam about a month after the exam finishes. This list will show the names of the students who have been shortlisted for admission.

Group Discussion and Personal Interview

The candidates who are short-listed will have to appear in an interview, test or group discussion for the final recruitment

CLAT Document Verification

Following are the documents that you need to submit for the student eligibility check for final admission:

UG candidates:

  • Class 10 Marksheet (as a Date of Birth proof document)
  • Class 12 Marksheet (qualifying examination proof)
  • CLAT 2024 Admit Card
  • Character Certificate/Conduct Certificate
  • Transfer/Migration Certificate
  • Caste Certificate (If applicable)
  • Specially-Abled Certificate (If applicable)
  • Domicile Certificate (If applicable)
  • Any other supporting document to claim your seat if applied under a category such as Wards of Serving/Retired Defence Personnel, EWS, Sons/daughters of Ex-servicemen/Defence service personnel etc.
