JKSET Exam Pattern 2023: Paper 1 & 2, Marking Scheme 

JKSET Exam Pattern 2023 is released by the University of Jammu along with the official notification JKSET 2023. Candidates who are interested in appearing in the JKSET/LASET 2023 Exam must go through the prescribed exam pattern to optimise their examination preparation and have a better understanding of the exam structure, types of questions, marking scheme and so on. 

The Jammu Kashmir State Eligibility Test is divided into two primary papers, i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is common for every aspirant while candidates can choose a paper subject from 39 different subjects or topics to cover under the syllabus. One must keep in mind that the exam pattern for both papers differs from one another.

JKSET Exam Pattern 2023

The JKSET Exam pattern is different for both papers, i.e., Paper 1 and Paper 2. The questionnaire of the said exam predominantly comprises: 

• Multiple-choice Questions (MCQs)
• Match-the-following Questions
• Assertion and Reasoning Questions
• True and False Questions

Individuals who wish to work as Assistant Professors in universities under the state of Jammu and Kashmir are required to undertake both papers. Individuals sitting for the JKSET Paper 1 can expect to come across questions covered from the ‘Teaching and Aptitude’ Section’, while Paper 2 is administered for all 39 subjects. JKSET Paper 1 Exam Pattern 2023 

Those who wish to appear for the JKSET Exam Paper 1 must cover topics from the ‘Teaching and Aptitude’ Section of the syllabus to enhance their chances of securing better scores.

JKSET Paper 2 Exam Pattern 2023 

Paper 2 of the JKSET Exam is administered for all 39 subjects. Individuals are required to select their preferred PG subject during the registration process. The said paper typically encompasses a total of a hundred objective-based questions. Each question carries a weight of two marks.  The total duration for attempting the said paper is two hours. JKSET 2023 Marking Scheme

Candidates attempting both papers of the JKSET Exam will be awarded two marks for every correct response. Individuals aspiring to undertake the exam can rest assured as there is no negative marking for erroneous or invalid responses. However, one must evaluate the questionnaire carefully prior to attempting the papers as it may result in the loss of time and energy.
