ILI CAT Seat Allotment

The seats for the ILI CAT 2023 will be allotted to students who have cracked the ILI CAT 2023 exam. This procedure will be conducted by the officials of the Indian Law Institute after the exam is over. The officials of the Indian Law Institute will release a final merit list, according to which seats will be allotted to eligible candidates.

Seat allotment Criteria 

For the ILI CAT Seat Allotment, a final merit list will be prepared by the officials of the Indian Law Institute, Delhi. This merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks secured by candidates in the ILI CAT 2023 entrance exam, subjective papers and Viva-Voce + Presentation.

Counselling process

After these stages, candidates who will qualify for the exam will be called for the Counselling process. The objective of conducting counselling for ILI CAT is to verify the candidate’s details and the documents, they have to submit.

Moreover, the counselling process will be conducted per the rank secured by candidates in the merit list, and those with a higher rank will be given preference in the seat allotment process. 

Final Step In Selection 

Candidates who will be shortlisted through the final merit list and document verification will have to pay the admission fee and secure their admission to the Master in Law course (LLM).

Candidates must keep all of their academic records and documents ready for verification by the Institute officials, and it will be after the complete verification of documents the seats will be allotted to candidates for the Master is Law course (LLM).

All the details of the marking scheme in the ILI CAT exam are as follows.

• The duration of the exam will be 2 hours 30 minutes (150 minutes).
• The exam will consist of a total of 180 marks.
• Each objective-type question will carry one mark.
• For every correct answer marked by the candidate, a +1 mark will be awarded.
• For every wrong answer marked by any candidate, a 0.25 mark will be deducted from their final score.
• There will be 4 descriptive-type questions.
• Each descriptive type question will carry 10 marks.
• The description section will not have any negative markings.
